Success Stories
Lafayette General Medical Center
Lafayette General Medical Center is a self-funded, Louisiana-based healthcare company with 2,500
(employees and dependents) lives. In 2003, prescriptions were still covered under the traditional major
medical plan with a deductible and coinsurance and the hospital had never offered a pharmacy card program.
Competition in the work force was the catalyst for driving the benefits team to consider a pharmacy card
program. With no data available on member utilization, implementing a separate pharmacy card program was a
major concern for the hospital.

Reily & Standard
Self-funded through a national Carrier, the Reily & Standard groups (Reily) drug spend is approximately $1
million annually. BancorpSouth Insurance's pharmacy benefits consultant, Ginger Campbell completed the
initial evaluation and assessment of Reily's pharmacy benefit program in 2004. Working with the Carrier to
collect 12 months of pharmacy claims data, Ginger then secured monthly electronic pharmacy data transfers.
BancorpSouth was also provided with a copy of Reily's Carrier ASO Agreement and received a detailed
description of their plan.

Ochsner Health System
Ochsner Health System is a large hospital employer located in New Orleans, Louisiana with a membership of
just over 11,000 (employees and dependents) lives. At the outset, it became clear to Ginger Campbell,
BancorpSouth's Insurance pharmacy benefit consultant, that Ochsner Health System's pharmacy program could
benefit from plan design changes, more aggressive discounts and a contract guaranteeing discounts from
their pharmacy provider.
