Plan and Contract Assessment
In its evaluation and assessment of an employer's current pharmacy benefit program, BancorpSouth requires copies of the current PBM contract, pricing, detailed description of the current plan and 12 months of claims data from the current PBM (if possible). In addition to the inclusion of a clinical review, retrospective audit and re-negotiation of the current PBM contract; each assessment thoroughly evaluates:
- Recommendations for strategic goals of the pharmacy plan, both short-term and long-term
- Comparing current plan utilization against local and national benchmarks
- Comparing current discounts and rebates against what is available in the marketplace
- Member utilization patterns
- High utilization areas, etc.
